At a time when HIV is often viewed as a disease that no longer affects people 'here and now', five youth in Toronto share their experience of living with HIV. Their other common bond is a support group called Positive Youth Outreach (PYO), one of the city's few resources for what is a growing demographic. The group is at the core of Positive, demonstrating the self-acceptance, strength and the individual successes that can come out of social support in a group setting. Through a series of interviews, our subjects confront and discuss issues of stigma, awareness and the recent changes made to HIV status disclosure laws, while also providing a unique glimpse into their daily lives. Positive aims not only to educate and enlighten, but to challenge common misconceptions and fears by focusing on the voices of those living with it.
